Healthy Lunches
School lunches are a mission!  Kids get fussy, food goes brown, their likes and dislikes change with the weather... Here are a few links, tips and tricks that I have used to survive many years of school lunches.

Tips
- If they can't open it, they won't eat it. A little cut in a banana/orange skin, a snip on a packet, a lid that doesn't need super powers to open really make a difference.
- Freeze a small juice box.  It acts as an ice pack until it can be consumed.
- Fill a water bottle about 1/4 - 1/3 full and freeze over night.  Fill with more water in the morning.  It keeps it colder for longer and doesn't take up extra space.
- Bite sized is best.  Kids seem to eat more (and better) when food is easy to pick up and snack on.
- Yogurt can be delicious and disastrous! Make sure you pack a spoon and that your child knows how to hold the container close to their mouth to avoid spills.
