I hope that you are all feeling rested and ready to go. We have another exciting term ahead and I can't wait to get started. I have missed your gorgeous smiles - make sure you bring them to school tomorrow.

Mini Marathon - some Room 5 children have enrolled for this.
2.05 pm Assembly. Room 13 to lead.
This term our concept is Sustainability. We will be looking at the taonga around us and learning how we can be Caretakers of God's Creation. This ties in beautifully with our RE which focuses on God and His beautiful creation.
We used our interview discussion to set individual goals for reading, writing and maths. Don't worry - I'll remind you what they are. These will be a big focus for each of us.
In literacy (that's reading and writing) we will investigate explanations and reports. They are a little bit different to a recount because they have a different job. Do you think you know what it is?Here's a hint: Kiwi kids news.
We will also carry on with our number work and will be figuring our how describe position and give instructions AND we'll fit in some probability, too. Probability - there's a tricky word but we'll know all about it in 10 weeks time.
