Monet Writing

Last week we were doing a really interesting RE lesson - that got off track when we started to talk about the value of art.  We were really interested so Mrs T decided that we should dig a little deeper.

On Monday, we did some research. We watched some videos and read some facts about Monet and his art.  We learned how to take quick notes - don't worry about spelling, full-stops, or sentences.

On Tuesday, we went back to our notes and had to choose the 6 most important facts about Monet. We put these notes into a plan for our writing.

On Wednesday, We got to work and turned our notes into a story. We had to write proper sentences and make sure that our ideas were in order.

On Thursday, we got out the paint and made our own Waterlilies painting - just like Monet.
Come on in and have a look. We are rather pleased with our efforts.

Mrs T is also really impressed with the way we share our ideas and work together.
