Today, we had a discussion about reading at home. Mrs T said that the more we read, the easier it gets. Cooper thought that this was just a fib that teachers tell to make kids read - the others weren't too sure who was right. SO... Mrs T got us to read the same page 3 times. She didn't tell us that she was timing us. The first time we read the page it took 56.44 seconds. The second time took 40.98 seconds. The third time it only took 25.53 seconds. Mrs T says that proves she is right (she usually is). It was waaaaay easier and faster to read when we had a little practice. Cooper very grudgingly agreed that she might have a point.
